Iranian state-run television claims that Tehran fired missiles at U.S. bases in Qatar and Iraq, AFP reports. The strikes were described as a "potent" response to the U.S. bombing of its nuclear facilities over the weekend, which it defined as an "aggression."
The AP noted that, according to Iranian media, one of the targets was the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a country that had closed its airspace. According to The Jerusalem Post, there were 6 ballistic missiles fired at that base and one more at the base in Iraq.

The US ambassador to Israel celebrated the agreement reached by Trump on his X account.

Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel
The president announced the agreement for a "total" ceasefire in Iran and Israel.
"CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!", Trump celebrated on his Truth Social account.
"This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!", he added.
Trump thanked the emir of Qatar for seeking "peace" in the region
Through his Truth Social account, Donald Trump wrote words of thanks to the emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for his search for "peace" for the Middle East. In turn, the president confirmed that there were no Qatari injuries or casualties following the Iranian attacks.
"I’d like to thank the Highly Respected Emir of Qatar for all that he has done in seeking Peace for the Region. Regarding the attack today at the American Base in Qatar, I am pleased to report that, in addition to no Americans being killed or wounded, very importantly, there have also been no Qataris killed or wounded. Thank you for your attention to this matter!," he wrote.
Trump: "Iran Has Officially Responded to Our Destruction of Its Nuclear Facilities"
President Donald Trump confirmed Iran's attack on the US air base in Qatar through a post on his Truth Social network and asserted that no personnel were injured.
"Iran has officially responded to our destruction of its nuclear facilities with a very weak response, something we expected and have countered very effectively. 14 missiles were fired: 13 were shot down, and one was released as it was heading in a non-threatening direction," the Republican wrote.
"I am pleased to report that no Americans were injured and virtually no damage was caused," he added as part of his statement.
US Sends Security Alert to Citizens in Iran
The State Department shared a security alert on its X profile, advising that all US citizens wishing to leave Iran should do so by road to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, or Turkmenistan "if they deem it safe to do so."
The office noted that Iranian airspace remains closed due to hostilities with Israel.
"If you plan to leave Iran, the Department has opened a crisis intake form for US citizens in Iran to provide information about consular assistance," they wrote, along with other instructions.
Iran claims six missiles hit US base in Qatar
Iran said six missiles hit the US base in Qatar on Monday, in response to the weekend US bombings of its nuclear facilities, state media reported.
"Six missiles hit the US Al-Udeid base in Qatar," the official IRNA news agency said, citing a statement from the Islamic Republic's ideological army.
Iran said its missile attack on the Al-Udeid air base in Qatar coincided with the number of bombs dropped by the US on its nuclear facilities over the weekend.
Oil prices fall more than 6% after Iranian attack on U.S. base in Qatar
International oil prices fell more than 6% on Monday following the announcement of an Iranian missile attack on the U.S. military base of Al Udeid, located in Qatar.
Around 6:15 p.m. GMT, a barrel of US WTI crude fell 6.51% to $69.01, returning to the levels it had reached before the first Israeli bombings in Iran on June 13.
Meanwhile, a barrel of North Sea Brent, the global benchmark, fell 6.41% to $72.07, also returning to prices not seen in the past 10 days.
No casualties in Iran's attack on the U.S. Al Udeid base in Qatar
Iran fired ballistic missiles at a U.S. base in Qatar on Monday, but no casualties were reported, a U.S. defense official told AFP.
"I can confirm that Al Udeid Air Base was attacked today with short- and medium-range ballistic missiles from Iran. So far, there are no reports of any U.S. casualties," the source said.
Al Udeid Air Base is also home to the Combined Air Operations Center, which provides command and control of air power across the region, as well as the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, the largest expeditionary wing in the world.
UAE condemns in 'strongest terms' Iran attack on Qatar: Statement
The United Arab Emirates on Monday denounced in the "strongest terms" an Iranian attack on the Al Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest U.S. military installation in the region.
"The United Arab Emirates condemns in the strongest terms the attack by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the Al Udeid air base in the sister state of Qatar, considering it a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and airspace," the Abu Dhabi Foreign Ministry said in a statement published by the official WAM news agency.
Iran confirms attack on U.S. base in Qatar
Iran's National Security Council confirmed it attacked the largest U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday in response to U.S. bombings of its nuclear facilities, adding that this action posed "no threat" to Qatar.
"In response to the aggressive and insolent U.S. action against Iran's nuclear sites and facilities, the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran attacked the US Al-Udeid airbase," the council said in a statement. The number of missiles used "was the same as the number of bombs the United States had used when attacking Iranian nuclear facilities," it added.
"This action poses no threat to our friendly and brotherly country, Qatar," it added.
Qatar claims to have "successfully" intercepted Iranian missiles against a U.S. base
"Qatari air defenses successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting the Al Udeid air base," the Qatari government said. "The incident caused no deaths or injuries."
It also said it considered the attack "a flagrant violation of the State of Qatar's sovereignty and airspace, as well as of international law."
